Porta Vega Beach Resort is relatively easy to reach. It is located at Brgy. Cadulan, Dimasalang, Masbate. If you’re from Masbate City you only need to ride a jeepney for a 90-minute travel to the town of Dimasalang which costs Php 60-70. From Dimasalang Port, you need to ride a motorboat for a 15-30 minute travel to the resort. The price of the boat depends on its size and your bargaining capability with the owner. In these case you can rent a boat for only Php 1500. That’s already a back and forth travel that can accommodate 15-20 persons.
Upon arrival, you will be rendered speechless by the sea as clear as crystal and the rich marine life underneath it, the dwarf coconuts are lined up perfectly, and the dome-shaped chapel in the middle of the resort which is built for religious and picture-taking purpose.
Porta Vega has no entrance fee but there are beach umbrellas and cottages with electrical outlets for rent in the resort ranging from Php 200-500 a day. It also has 2 rest rooms and 5 dressing rooms with weaved coconut leaves as walls. Overnight stays are allowed in the resort as long as you put up your own tent.
There is a small house in the resort allotted for the caretaker and his family. The house also has a mini store that has all the essentials like foods, drinks, and toiletries so you don’t have to worry if you ran out of supplies.

From Dimasalang Port, ride a motorboat to Porta Vega Beach Resort (20-30 mins)
